The Sacred Sins: A Satanic Reclamation of the Forbidden Fires

The Sacred Sins: A Satanic Reclamation of the Forbidden Fires

In the Name of the Adversary, I claim what was once called sin as holy power.

They called it sin to make you weak.
They named your instincts vile so you would kneel in chains, whispering apologies for being alive, for being hungry, for being powerful.
But the Satanist does not apologize for their nature.
We confront it, we exalt it, and we sharpen it into a weapon and a flame.

Below are the Sacred Seven—no longer "sins," but aspects of the divine self that must be understood, harnessed, and made whole through introspection, devotion, and practice.

 1. Pride – The Crown of the Self

Christian dogma says: “Pride goeth before destruction.”
Satan says, “Pride is your godhood.”

Ritual Reflection:
Stand before your altar. Speak your name aloud. Write it in blood, ash, or ink. Ask yourself:

  • What makes me worthy of honor?
  • Where have I allowed myself to shrink?
  • How will I walk in power unapologetically?

Work with: Lucifer. He is the Flame of Sovereignty.

 2. Lust – The Flame of Creation

They called it dirty. They whispered in shame. But lust is the first cry of the universe—it is the desire to be, to merge, to consume and create.

Introspective Rite:
Meditate while naked under moonlight or candlelight. Feel your body as sacred. Ask:

  • What do I truly desire?
  • Where have I denied myself pleasure or connection?
  • What does my lust reveal about my essence?

Work with: Lilith. She teaches sacred sexuality and self-possession.

 3. Envy – The Serpent's Compass

Envy is not evil. The voice whispers, “I want that because it should be mine.” It is not to be buried but dissected.

Shadow Pathworking:
Journal or scry on your envy. Ask:

  • Who or what do I envy—and why?
  • What does this teach me about my unmet desires or hidden goals?
  • How can I alchemize envy into ambition?

Work with: Leviathan. The Serpent of the Abyss stirs hunger into becoming.

 4. Wrath – The Sacred Fire

They feared your rage because it is justified. They chained your fury because it destroys illusion. Wrath, when pure, is holy.

Infernal Invocation:
Create a “Rage Sigil” with blood, red ink, or fire. Chant your anger. Let it rise and burn clean. Then ask:

  • What do I fear will happen if I unleash my anger?
  • What injustice in my life deserves reckoning?
  • How can wrath cleanse me of what no longer serves me?

Work with: Asmodeus or Samael—forces of fierce liberation.

 5. Greed – The Will to Receive

To want more is to know your worth. Greed is the hunger of the gods. It says: I deserve not scraps, but the whole feast.

Infernal Mirror Exercise:
Stand before a mirror. Envision your highest life—abundance in all forms. Ask:

  • What parts of me believe I do not deserve this?
  • Where have I settled?
  • What will I no longer apologize for wanting?

Work with: Mammon. He teaches the sacred flow of wealth and desire.

 6. Sloth – The Void Between Worlds

Sloth is sacred stillness. It is the rebel’s rest. In your stillness, you find your rhythm, not theirs.

Dark Moon Practice:
Do nothing. No phones, no tasks, just silence. Reflect:

  • What part of me feels unworthy when I am unproductive?
  • Where does rest become resistance?
  • How can sloth guide me to deeper wisdom?

Work with: Belial. Lord of the Earth and the Root—he teaches sovereignty in stillness.

 7. Gluttony – The Devouring Goddess

They tell you not to indulge, because indulgence is power. Gluttony says: I will taste the world with my full being.

Feast Rite:
Prepare a personal feast—food, wine, scent, music, touch. Offer it to yourself and your spirits. Ask:

  • What have I starved myself of?
  • What pleasures do I deny because of shame?
  • Where can I honor desire without self-destruction?

Work with: Naamah or Astaroth—goddesses of sensual fullness and sacred indulgence.

Closing Rite: The Affirmation of the Sacred Seven

Stand at your altar. Place seven candles before you.
Speak this incantation:

“They named me sinner—
But I name myself sacred.
In Lust I burn,
In Wrath I rise,
In Envy I reach,
In Greed I take,
In Gluttony, I feast,
In Sloth I restore,
In Pride, I ascend.
I am no servant of shame.
I walk crowned in the fires they fear.
In Satan’s name, I am whole.”
